Village of Lemont, IL - Placemaking

Who doesn't love a Midwestern version of the Loch Ness Monster? Legend has it that these Lemontsters have been spotted swimming in the canals for generations. All Together brought this story back to life through a series of storytelling and placemaking initiatives focused on all things Lemontsters. Tapping into Downtown's social channels, we asked residents to help us name the monsters, share pictures of their locations, and tag businesses. We then took it to the next level and created a real-life Archie, who pops up at all Village events!
